State-controlled Chinese lender ICBC has held on to top spot in the Forbes list of the world’s biggest companies, leading the rankings for a second consecutive year, according to the business magazine’s annual list released this week.
China also claimed the world’s three biggest public companies and five of the top 10, with China Construction Bank in second and Agricultural Bank of China third, the report said.
The rankings were determined by revenues, profits, assets and market value.
The United States still has the highest number of companies on the list with 564, compared with China’s total of 207.
