Should pets be animalia non grata or water guns banned from parkland at the planned West Kowloon Cultural District?
Those are just two of the possibilities the district’s authority is putting to the public in a survey on what kind of activities should be allowed in the area, am730 reported Thursday.
The authority wants to know what the public thinks on allowing picnics, ball games, fishing, skateboarding, biking, arts performances, tree climbing and other activities.
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department has long been criticized for having too many restrictions on its parks and there have been calls for a freer rein on parkland dos and don’ts.
Some argue that as long as people behave themselves and do not disturb others, there’s no need to spell out each and every regulation in such fine detail.
The survey, available online at www.westkowloon.hk/tc/parksurvey, will end on June 29.
