Xi Jinping may visit India before year ends

Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to make a state visit to India before the year is out, China News Service reported Sunday, citing foreign minister Wang Yi.

Wang is visiting India two weeks after the country’s new prime minister, Narenrdra Modi, took office.

He said Sino-Indian relations have entered a new era and reached new heights, with mutual cooperation the top priority.

Still, the two Asian behemoths have only exposed the tip of the iceberg and there are more opportunities yet to come, Wang was quoted as saying.
