Alibaba Group Holdings has launched a pollution map application to help the public monitor nearly 3,685 polluting companies, Sina.com reported Monday.
The app, developed by the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs, is supported by Alibaba’s cloud technology and is free, the report said.
The public can use the app to get real-time pollution data in 190 cities. The map gives the names of polluting companies in any given time.
