Feeling helpless when your smartphone runs out of battery? No worries. Have a coffee.
Starbucks has tied up with battery maker Duracell to provide wireless charging in Starbucks outlets across the United States, starting with San Francisco, the home turf of the American coffee giant.
The Duracell Powermats enable customers to charge phones by just placing them on the coffee tables.
Over the next three years, more than 100,000 table chargers with built-in Powermat charge pads will be installed in 7,500 Starbucks outlets across the US. That’s about a dozen Powermats per store.
Just wondering when Hong Kong and mainland coffee lovers will be able to enjoy the service.
