As a famous model and actress, Olalla Oliveros lived a dream life, starring in movies, followed by the paparazzi, seeing her face on glossy magazines and billboards across Spain.
But for all the glitz and glamor, something seemed missing in her life.
She found it during a visit to The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima in Portugal. She described it as an “earthquake” moment. After that, everything changed. She could not remove from her mind the image of herself dressed in a nun’s habit.
And so she turned her back on her highly successful career to join the Order of Saint Michael and become a nun, the Daily Mail reported.
She made the decision four years ago, but it was only recently that she decided to talk about it.
“The Lord is never wrong. He asked if I will follow him, and I could not refuse,” Oliveros, 36, told the National Catholic Register.
She has changed her name to Sister Olalla del Sí de María.
