Obama calls for constructive Sino-US ties

US President Barack Obama is keen for more cooperation in Sino-US ties and “constructive management of differences”, Reuters reported Tuesday.

In a phone call to President Xi Jinping Monday, Obama said he wants a relationship defined by increased practical cooperation, according to the White House.

The two leaders also discussed Iran and North Korea, the report said.

Xinhua said Xi told Obama that the two countries should continue to meet each other half way and keep strengthening cooperation on key issues like climate change.
