The loser of Indonesia’s presidential election, Prabowo Subianto, will challenge the outcome in the country’s Constitutional Court, Reuters reported Wednesday.
Subianto’s team said there were irregularities involving 21 million ballots in the election in which Jakarta governor Joko Widodo was declared the winner Tuesday with 53.15 percent of the vote, the report said. More than 133 million ballots were cast.
His team said it would file a claim in the court by Friday. The court then have until mid-August to make a decision, the report said.
