Chen Tiexin, a senior political advisor to the Liaoning administration, is under investigation for suspected “serious discipline and law violations”, Caixin.com reported Friday, citing the Communist Party’s Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Chen, 59, is the vice chairman of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
He is the ninth provincial-level political advisor to have come under fire for disciplinary violations since Beijing launched a sweeping anti-graft campaign after the Communist Party’s 18th National Congress, the report noted.
The investigation came after the Central Inspection Group completed an inspection tour in the northeastern province. Problems uncovered include irregularities in project tendering and land and mineral resources deals, as well as malpractices in cadres’ election, according to the report.
