Monster beer pack shows why everything is bigger in Texas

Everything is bigger in Texas, or so its residents love to say.

And they have another proof to embellish that claim.

A beer company is stuffing beer into a seven-foot-long pack that contains three rows of 33 cans of the ale and weighs in at 37 kilos.

Austin Beerworks plans to put them on store shelves this week at about US$99 each.

“We made it at first as a joke,” Michael Graham, co-founder of the craft brewery, told Reuters. “But it seems a lot of people are taking it seriously.”

The company plans to ship about 20 of the massive packs a week.

“You might want to share this with about 33 of your friends,” Graham said.

The packs are not an easy fit for store shelves and most home refrigerators are smaller than them.

But in Texas, you can assume they’ll make things bigger to make room for beer.
