Network carrier CSL Ltd. on Friday officially opened the first Hong Kong store of Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi Inc., the company said in a statement.
The store is located at Telford Plaza in Kowloon Bay, one of the largest shopping malls in Kowloon East. The key products available include Redmi Note, Redmi 1S and Mi 3.
CSL Mobile’s chief marketing officer Bruce Lam and Xiaomi Global’s vice president Hugo Barra unveiled the store to hundreds of guests.
Those who purchase a Redmi Note and subscribe to selected monthly service plans will get a chance to win a free round-trip air ticket to Sanya or Taipei.
Meanwhile, an enhanced version of Redmi Note will be available starting at noon next Tuesday, according to the official website.
The new version will be sold at HK$1,239 (US$159.87) each, while the original Redmi Note costs HK$999. Only 5,000 handsets are available. Reservations can be made now.
