Apple Inc. will launch two new iPads and the next version of its Mac operating system on Oct. 21, Reuters reported Thursday.
These are the sixth generation of iPad and the third edition of iPad mini and OS X Yosemite, the latest iteration of its Mac operating system which has undergone a complete visual overhaul.
The iPad is expected to have a 9.7-inch screen while the new version of the iPad mini will have a 7.9-inch screen, Bloomberg earlier reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Apple is preparing for the holiday season by boosting its product lineup, the report said.
The company sold 13.3 million iPads in the quarter to June, short of analysts’ projections for more than 14 million.
Last week, it unveiled the iWatch, two larger iPhones and a mobile payments service dubbed Apple Pay.
