Police have arrested three teenage foreigners suspected of selling cakes laced with marijuana in Tsing Yi, RTHK reported Tuesday.
More than 25 cannabis cakes were found in the bag of one of the suspects, a 16-year-old girl, after police were tipped off about drug trafficking in the area on Monday.
Two of her companions, aged 15 and 17, were also arrested.
Initial investigation showed that the girl bought marijuana from a foreigner in Central on Sunday, and made cakes using the cannabis as a key ingredient.
Drug trafficking is punishable by a fine of up to HK$5 million (US$642,673) and life imprisonment, according to the Hong Kong dangerous drugs ordinance.
