‘Long Hair’ hospitalized due to gallbladder pain

Legislative Councillor “Long Hair” Leung Kwok-hung was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital from his office Thursday morning after he complained of serious abdominal pain.

Initial diagnosis revealed a problem in his gallbladder, Apple Daily reported. Leung’s assistant was quoted as saying that the lawmaker has had gall stone in the past which caused similar pain.

Leung is said to have been advised by doctors to stay in the hospital and get more rest.

Leung’s office staff called an ambulance at around 9 am before he was taken to the hospital. Kenneth Chen, Secretary General of the Legislative Council’s Secretariat, is said to have accompanied Leung to the hospital.

The radical lawmaker, who was to attend a Legco meeting Thursday morning, appeared to be in distress as he was taken onto the ambulance with an oxygen mask, the report said.

Leung, still suffering from pain despite some injections, asked people not to visit him at the hospital.
