By George! How well you’ve grown

Prince George hasn’t been seen at length since he traveled with his parents to New Zealand and Australia in April.

So when new pictures of Britain’s future king were released by the royal household, they were met with a “hello again George” kind of greeting from fans.

The three photographs, taken in November by Ed Lane Fox, Prince Harry’s private secretary, show George, who will be 17 months old on Dec. 22, seated on some stone steps in a courtyard at London’s Kensington Palace.

His parents — Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge — said there haven’t been any new, sanctioned images of the future king since his first birthday in July, and “are well aware of the interest in him and are keen to share some special moment in his life,” a palace source told People magazine.

The royal couple saw Christmas and the end of the year as the perfect time to update people on the prince’s progress with the new shots.

We’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
