“Shaken, not stirred” – that’s how James Bond likes his favorite tipple, the vodka martini.
But five decades after the British secret agent gave the famous order in Goldfinger (1964), fans were aghast when Daniel Craig, who played Bond in Skyfall, hoisted a Heineken in an ad for the Dutch brewer tied to the 2012 movie.
They may be pleased, however, to hear of a new partnership between Belvedere Vodka, a luxury vodka brand and the makers of Spectre, the Bond film due to be released in November next year, The Guardian reported.
Ajay Chowdhury, president of the James Bond International Fan Club, said that means Craig, who’ll be back as 007 in Spectre, is very likely to order a medium vodka dry martini using the phrase voted as one of the 100 most famous lines in film history.
Bond films are known for their product placements.
Die Another Day (2002), in which 007 returned to British marque Aston Martin, which made the original Bond cars in the 1960s, after three years of driving BMWs, was nicknamed “Buy Another Day” for its heavy use of product placements.
