Firebombs were thrown into two entrances at the Next Media headquarters in Tseung Kwan O at around 1 a.m. Monday, Apple Daily reported.
Security guards called the police, and investigations are ongoing.
At almost the same time, a seven-seater vehicle arrived at the house of Next Media founder and former chairman Jimmy Lai Chee-ying in Ho Man Tin.
A masked man got out of the car and threw an incendiary bomb at the gate.
The man fled after security guards dashed out to stop him. They put out the fire using an extinguisher.
No one was injured in the incidents, both of which were captured on security video.
Police were standing by outside Lai’s house, said the report by Apple Daily, which Next Media publishes.
