Bossini kidnap leaders scammed gangmates

Shenzhen police are continuing their search for HK$18 million believed stashed in a secret location by the ringleaders in the April kidnapping of a Hong Kong retail heiress.

The money was hidden from the rest of the eight-member gang that snatched Queenie Law, 29, from the family home in Clearwater Bay.

Law was released unharmed.

The two ringleaders, surnamed You ad Wang, cheated their gangmates out of the HK$28 million ransom paid by Law’s family which owns mass-market fashion chain Bossini, Headline Daily reported Wednesday.

The six split the remaining HK$10 million. About HK$3.65 million has been recovered.

They found out they had been shortchanged before they were arrested, the report said.

You and Wang have since been captured. All eight will stand trial in Shenzhen.
