Jogging woman attacked by sheepdog at Peak

A 46-year-old woman was attacked by a sheepdog while jogging at Victoria Peak on Wednesday morning.

But except for minor bruises, she was declared fine by doctors who examined her, Apple Daily reported on Thursday.

Police said around 9 a.m. Wednesday, the woman surnamed Ng was jogging along Lugard Road at Victoria Peak as she usually did when she ran past two domestic helpers who were walking two sheepdogs of different sizes.

Suddenly, the larger of the two dogs attacked her and bit her left arm.

But instead of losing her composure, Ng asked the two maids to stay while she called the police.

The responding officers took down relevant information and notified the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department to follow up on the case.

Ng said the sheepdog that attacked her was about two feet tall and looked like a fox.
