Talk about a blazing Ferrari.
This one was literally on fire after its engine ignited, causing a 20-minute conflagration on a Mid-Levels roadside.
The Ferrari 360 Modena was traveling between Tai Hang Road and Stubbs Road on Monday afternoon when the incident happened.
The six-year-old red number was being driven to a service center in Repulse Bay by an employee of a Happy Valley garage.
No one was injured but the car was seriously damaged, Headline Daily reports.
The driver called the police when he saw smoke in the rear of the vehicle.
Fire soon engulfed the engine compartment, at one point shooting up three meters, witnesses said.
It took firefighters 20 minutes to put out the blaze.
Police said the battery might have malfunctioned or overheated.
The Ferrari 360 Modena houses a rear-mounted V8 engine which produces 400 horsepower.
It takes 4.5 seconds to reach 100 kilometers per hour from a standing start and has a cruising speed of 330 kph.
