A young woman said to be distraught over her boyfriend’s alleged philandering jumped to her death from his apartment building in Tsuen Wan.
The 24-year-old woman, surnamed Cheung, and her boyfriend had been living together for a month in the man’s Riviera Gardens flat, Sing Pao Daily News reports.
But the relationship had been frequently rocked by violent quarrels.
Two other suicides were reported Wednesday — a 31-year-old woman who was unhappy with her job and a 28-year old man who horrified shoppers when he plunged several floors in the atrium of Kowloon City Plaza.
The man, surnamed Yeung, landed on a basement stall.
He had climbed a railing using a chair from a nearby restaurant and jumped, leaving stunned restaurant employees helpless at the quick turn of events, according to SkyPost.
The man was brought to hospital were he died from his injuries.
Police found a suicide note in his backpack in which he apologized to his parents for “having gone astray”.
There were no clues why the third victim, surnamed Yip, chose to end her life, although she once complained to her family that she was unhappy with her work.
Her mother said Yip jumped from a bedroom window and landed on a podium car park.
Police are searching for answers.
