A Ugandan man was attacked by a knife-wielding man in Central at 3 a.m. Friday, and remained conscious while being admitted to Queen Mary Hospital, Ming Pao Daily reported.
The 34-year-old victim, who holds a temporary identification document issued by the Immigration Department, was seen drinking with his friends at 43 Wyndham Street.
Two expatriates, a man and a woman, appeared all of a sudden; the man slashed the neck of the victim with an 8 centimetre knife.
The pair fled in the direction of Lyndhurst Terrace.
Meanwhile, the victim’s friends called police.
The man with the knife was described as being a 1.8 meter tall strongly built, bald Caucasian. He was wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt and blue jeans.
His female companion was wearing a black-and-white dress.
Police are looking for the two suspects.
