When it comes to his children, David Beckham isn’t embarrassed to show affection.
In fact, he embarrasses them and he likes it.
On Wednesday, the 39-year-old soccer dad did just that by greeting his 16-year-old son Brooklyn on Facebook to wish him a happy birthday, complete with a picture of him kissing the young lad on the head.
“Happy Birthday to my big boy xx,” Beckham wrote.
He also posted a throwback of him with a toddler Brooklyn on the soccer field together, wearing matching jerseys.
In January, Beckham told Jimmy Kimmel that his kids aren’t exactly thrilled with his public display of affection, according to ET Online.
Talking about dropping off Brooklyn at school, he said that his son asks him to “park around the corner”, to avoid being seen with him.
But it only makes him want to embarrass him even more.
“He did it to me the other day after doing it about five times,” he told Kimmel.
“So I’m driving around, and he’s just walking in his school, and I open up the window and I said, ‘Brooklyn, I love you!’,” he said.
“Obviously, it didn’t go down too well.”
And from the looks of his most recent Facebook picture, Brooklyn is clearly still not over the “embarrassing parents” stage.
Brooklyn’s mother, former Spice Girl-turned fashion maven Victoria Beckham, is as doting as his dad.
