Chongqing park a hit with animal feeding frenzy

Dangerous wild animals are sure-fire park attractions but what happens when you let visitors feed them?

You have a box office hit.

Metro Daily is reporting that’s just what a theme park in Chongqing needed to hype things up.

The park in Yongchuan district in the bustling western Chinese city has launched a service in which busloads of visitors ride around the park feeding the wild animals.

The visitors are taken to an area where they can interact with the fierce creatures.

They throw meat, even live chickens, at the animals which include lions, tigers and other predators.

Photos of such encounters are being circulated online by the park.

Some show visitors throwing meat at tigers from inside a cage on a truck.

The photos show the tigers and lions jumping at the meat and live chickens to the delight of the visitors.

The images have sparked concern on social media about visitor safety, with some netizens questioning whether the enclosure is strong enough to withstand the force of the animals jostling for food around it.
