Mercedes seen speeding against traffic in Tuen Mun

A video clip showing a Mercedes-Benz speeding in the wrong direction on the Tuen Mun Highway has gone viral on the internet, Headline Daily reported Friday.

On the 19-second clip it is apparent that the driver drove at a high speed despite knowing he was heading in the direction opposite to traffic.

The incident was recorded at around 1 a.m. Thursday by a surveillance camera on a car heading to Tsuen Wan on the highway.

While the license plate of the Mercedes could not be made out, netizens were quick to condemn the driver’s irresponsible behavior, which put other road users in danger.

Netizens called on any other drivers who might have captured the dangerous driving on camera to report the incident to the police.

It was estimated that the driver would have had to drive about 1.5 kilometers before he could get off the highway.
