Mercedes owner finds his car sealed in plastic wrap

The owner of a Mercedes-Benz was shocked when he returned to the parking lot where he had left it and saw the car sealed in plastic wrap, Apple Daily reported Thursday.

The 54-year-old man, surnamed Ho, told police that at about 11 p.m. Tuesday, he went to the parking lot of Fung Fai Terrace in Happy Valley where he had parked his car, intending to drive it home.

Ho, who works at a hospital nearby, said he recently rented a parking space in the housing estate, of which he is not a resident, through a property agent.

He said he confirmed the lease for the space based on the floor plan.

Police were treating the prank as a case of mischief.

When Ho went to park his car again Wednesday morning, he was told he had parked the day before in a space that belongs to someone else.

However, the owner of that parking space denied he had anything to do with the wrapping up of Ho’s Mercedes.
