Korean ‘sassy girl’ injures hotel employee at Peninsula

My Sassy Girl, a 2001 South Korean blockbuster movie, is a comedy-romance about the relationship between a fiery college girl and her boyfriend, whom she humiliates at every turn.

A real-life “sassy girl” caused an employee of The Peninsula in Tsim Sha Tsui to be sent to hospital early Wednesday.

The 26-year-old South Korean woman went back to the hotel with two male friends at around 4 a.m.

The woman got into a noisy fight with one of her friends over some trivial matter, Apple Daily reported Friday.

A member of the hotel security staff in the lobby, surnamed Cheung, asked them to stop quarrelling, to avoid disturbing other guests.

The woman suddenly flung out her phone in anger, injuring Cheung by accident.

Cheung was hospitalized for his wound and later discharged, the hotel said.

No word about what happened to the “sassy girl”.
