Boss loves firm so much, its name is painted on his new Ferrari

The owner of Rising Aerial Platform Co. Ltd. decided to put the name and slogan of his company on his brand new red Ferrari to show his affection for the business, news website hk01.com reported on the weekend.

The eight Chinese characters were painted prominently in bright yellow on the hood of the HK$3.6 million (US$460,000) Italian sports car, which was delivered last week. The English name was painted in white.

Wong Yuk-chi said he wasn’t doing it to promote the scaffolding firm, insisting that what he did was “nothing special”.

The Hong Kong businessman said all his company’s 40 vehicles, including Mercedes and Toyotas, had the name “Rising” painted on them.

Interestingly, the painting of the name on the Ferrari was done by Wong’s staff using a metal stencil sheet.

Some might wonder how a semi-amateurish paint job in such contrasting colours would sit on such an expensive car.

Wong obviously doesn’t mind too much, and that’s all that matters, right?
