Man falls from North Point building after Spiderman act

A 42-year-old German was caught by security cameras falling from a residential building after he tried to scale the wall to reach his third-floor flat in North Point.

The man, identified as Marcus, fell halfway through his climb on the building at 36 Fort Street early Tuesday morning, Metro Daily reports.

Video clips show that after he fell, Marcus stumbled, took off his shirt and walked away.

Police found him at home and sent him to hospital.

Except for hurting his legs, according to Headline Daily, he didn’t appear to have sustained serious injuries.

But he damaged a lightbox signage hanging from the first floor and fell on the hood of a Mercedes Benz parked outside the building.

His wife agreed to pay HK$8,000 for the repair of the broken lightbox signage, Apple Daily said.

Neighbors said Marcus first came home around 4 p.m. on Monday, and because he apparently forgot the keys to his flat, tried to climbed the exterior wall of the building to reach the apartment.

Failing to do so, he left around 6 p.m. when it started to drizzle.
