What’s the matter with these airline staff?
Don’t they understand that no matter how early passengers wake up and leave their homes to get to the airport on time, they just don’t have everything under their control.
There’s the traffic jam on the way to the airport, for example.
Can’t they give their stressed-out passengers a little consideration?
This must be the line of thinking of a mainland woman who failed to check in for a flight after arriving late at the airline counter at the Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport on April 29, Apple Daily reports.
After all, the woman surnamed Zhang must be thinking, she was just five minutes late.
Zhang turned furious after airline staff said they could not issue her a boarding pass.
When the woman’s request for flexibility was not met, she started throwing objects at the counter.
When one of the ground staff approached her to calm her down and explain to her how airlines operate, she punched and kicked him.
Zhang was arrested by airport police and was sentenced to a seven-day custody and asked to pay a fine of 200 yuan (US$30.7) for her flare-up.
