Three men broke into a house on the Peak and stole a luxury watch worth HK$250,000 (US$32,180).
The break-in was discovered around 9 p.m. on Sunday by a domestic helper who had been alerted to noises in a bedroom, Apple Daily reports.
The helper saw the suspects fleeing and called the police.
A woman insurance executive, surnamed Lau, lives on the property in Lugard Road with her husband, their son, her mother and the maid.
The husband was away during the burglary.

The case has been transferred to the Central Regional Crime Unit.
The house is owned by a company in which Hip Shing Hong (Holdings) Co. Ltd. chairman Henry Fong Yun-wah is a director.
It was bought in 1978 for HK$1.65 milion, according to the report.
