Woman walks dog and another woman in Stanley

Passers-by at Stanley Plaza were treated to a bizarre scene on Tuesday afternoon.

A woman in black was seen walking a dog with her left hand and another woman on a leash with her right hand, crawling on the ground like a dog, news website hk01.com reports.

Video clips of the incident have gone viral on social media.

It’s not clear what it was about, but some netizens suggested that it was performance art.

A 44-second video footage of the scene shows the woman in black holding the leash to a dog with her left hand, and another on her right hand, chained to the woman in pink sleeveless shirt and shorts, who crawled with her hands and knees for a distance of about 20 meters.

The crawling woman, who was wearing gloves and knee pads, did not show any resistance, and the curious eyes of passers-by did not seem to bother her at all.

Psychiatrist Au-yeung Kwok-leung said the scene was quite appalling and the two ladies seemed mentally unhealthy.

However, Au-yeung believed the two were not suffering from any mental disorder.

“It could be a punishment for some wrongdoing, or someone has lost in a game,” Au-yeung said, adding that “the woman on the ground has come fully prepared with protective gear”.
