‘Spiderman’ climbs 6 stories to rescue 4-year-old girl

When a passerby saw a four-year-old girl leaning over a balcony in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, he didn’t have to think twice before clambering up to the sixth story to save her.

Liu Songling, a migrant worker from Henan province, was walking along the street Monday and spotted the young girl, who appeared to be in danger of falling at any time.

He immediately climbed up to the sixth story and carried her back into the apartment.

The girl was crying and held Liu tightly until one of her parents came back home, the Yangtze Evening Post reported.

Liu did not ask for any reward and left the scene before police arrived. No one was injured.

The local government is planning to give him an award for his courage.

Liu later told a local newspaper he decided to give a hand because he himself has young children at home.

He said he has worked in the city as a construction worker for 12 years.
