Jardine’s Lookout raid: HK$1 mln expensive items stolen

Burglars raided a luxury apartment in Jardine’s Lookout in Happy Valley and stole jewelry and expensive watches.

The theft was discovered by a Filipino domestic helper who was returning home to the Clement Court flat in Mount Butler Road from her day off, Apple Daily reports.

Her employers are away on a family holiday.

The maid said the home was ransacked and a bedroom safe had been forced open.

Jewelry and four luxury watches worth a combined HK$900,000 were missing.

No suspect has been arrested.

The apartment is more than 50 years. A unit in the same building last changed hands for HK$19 million (US$2.45 million) in 2005, according to the report.
