Motorist, passenger hurt after plowing into wild boars

A male motorcyclist and a female passenger were injured after they drove into a herd of wild boars in Sai Kung.

They were thrown to the ground when the man lost control of his Harley-Davidson bike as the animals crossed their path in Clearwater Bay Road on Monday morning, Headline Daily reports.

The pair was brought to hospital where they received treatment for minor injuries. The 37-year-old driver passed an alcohol screening test, according to news website HK01.com.

Meanwhile, two wild boars were spotted foraging for food in Aberdeen Reservoir Road on Monday.

They disappeared after a while, apparently after being disturbed by onlookers, and reemerged two hours later at a nearby bus stop.
