Man lets child urinate on G20 red carpet

A mainland father is under fire after a video of his son urinating on a red carpet at the venue of the recent G20 summit in Hangzhou surfaced online.

The video taker, surnamed Bao, said the incident happened on Sept. 27 in the Hangzhou International Expo Center, which hosted world leaders during the summit last month.

Bao said he saw the boy kneel on the floor and urinate on the carpet while the father did not seem to notice.

He said he alerted the father but by then, it was too late.

A security guard said the man apologized and said he did not notice the child climb out of his trolley.

Netizens unleashed a barrage of criticism, saying the father should have been more aware so that he could have prevented his son from relieving himself in such a manner.

Meanwhile, local media reports say visitors have been leaving hand marks on chairs, door knobs, sculptures and other art pieces inside the meeting rooms, ignoring warning signs, according to Sing Tao Daily.

Photos show some local tourists playing poker at a formal dining area and others taking naps on benches and in the rooftop garden — with their shoes off.

Meanwhile, in Hong Kong, a video has emerged of a mainland man letting his daughter urinate on an MTR train.

The poster, named LostDutch, said the incident occurred on the evening of Oct. 2 in a packed compartment.

LostDucth, who was within five meters of the two, said the mother later cleaned up the mess.
