An Indonesian domestic helper has been fired after posting a live broadcast from the shower.
The video has gone viral after netizens picked it up. It had more than 400 views during the live stream, news website hk01.com reports.
Earlier, the same woman showed a live video of her employer’s elderly mother defecating in a wheelchair.
Denise Tsui, convenor of the Support Group for Hong Kong Employers with Foreign Domestic Helper, said she has heard from other employers that the Indonesian maid in question has been posting live broadcasts on Facebook to promote herself to her 30,000 followers.
The maid later said in another post that she made a “small mistake” and that using Facebook is a right.
Fellow helpers described her as an “attention-seeker”, constantly posting sexy photos of herself online.
Barrister Albert Luk said that although the video was taken on private property, it can still constitute dishonest intent to cause loss to others if the content is indecent, Ming Pao Daily reports.
The helper has deleted the file but there are ways to recover it, Luk said.
He said her former employers should seek help from the police and cyber security experts.
