A 43-year-old man and a four-year-old girl were lucky to escape serious injury after they were struck by an overtaking car in Tai Tam.
The two, who appeared to be related, were trying to cross Tai Tam Road between a sports car and a stopped taxi.
They were bumped by a car that had overtaken the taxi, Sing Tao Daily reports.
The driver, surnamed Lai, 52, hit the pair with his left front bumper, knocking them down.

It shows the man in pain on the ground, unable to get back up, as people mill around him, according to Metro Daily.
Both victims were brought to Pamela Youde Nethersole Hospital. The driver was not injured.
Police are continuing their investigations and charges are likely.
Tai Tam Road has a speed limit of 50 kilometers per hour.
People familiar with the area said pedestrians should exercise caution when crossing the road as many drivers tend to ignore the speed limit.
