Portuguese man plunges to his death from TST shopping mall

A 21-year-old Portuguese man was found dead after falling from the 30th floor balcony of a restaurant in iSQUARE, a shopping center in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Police said there were no suspicious circumstances and the case was classified as “a person falling from a height”, news website hk01.com reports.

According to Headline Daily, Garcia De Jesus Tomas landed on a pavement in Nathan Road. He was rushed to hospital where he was certified dead.

Police are calling on anyone who knew Garcia to come forward to help in the investigation.

The deceased, about 1.75-meter tall with black curly hair and fair skin, left behind a black backpack on the balcony of the restaurant.

No suicide note has been found and investigations are continuing.
