Human flag’s ‘moonwalk’ takes social media by storm

The man was spotted performing the stunt in a park in Hang Hau, according to a netizen who posted the video to a Facebook page named Tseung Kwan O.

The clip quickly went viral, with netizens calling his feat “very impressive” and “superman-like”. It earned more than 1,000 “wow” emojis in a day, news website hk01.com reports.

In the video, the man, who is topless and looks middle-age, appears to walk in the air while supported by both hands on the climbing fence.

He starts with his body in a vertical position and appears to walk backwards and forwards in a semi-circle.

He flips his body sideways like he was floating and begins to walk in the air.

Some netizens said the act reminded them of the late pop star Michael Jackson’s signature moonwalk, according to Headline Daily.

Nicholas Wong, a three-time Hong Kong street workout champion, gave a thumbs up.

Wong said the hardest part is swinging the body and walking at the same time.

Doing the “human flag” requires hard practice and use of multiple muscles in the body, he said.

Wong said those who are interested in street workout should first do physical training before taking instructions from a professional trainer.
