Hong Kong singer Celine Tam is headed for the next stage of America’s Got Talent after she won the “golden buzzer” from one of the judges with her latest performance.
The nine-year-old with the improbably huge voice stunned the crowd again with a performance of Michael Bolton’s How Am I Supposed To Live Without You during the show on Tuesday local time.
“Tonight I’m going to be singing a song for my little sister,” said Celine, whose younger sister is named Dion. “It’s about how we love each other. We’re sisters and we’re best friends.”
Guest judge Laverne Cox was so impressed that she slammed the golden buzzer and made sparkling glitter rain down from the rafters, with Celine standing open-mouthed in shock.
“I just want to eat you up and, like, take you home. You’re so adorable and so cute and your voice is amazing,” Cox said.
Tam has been winning hearts on the TV talent show. She wowed the crowd with a rendition of Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On in June.
