Flow controller forms missing from Sha Tin housing estate

Registration forms for tenants of a Sha Tin public housing estate for the free installation of flow controllers have been lost, according to the Water Supplies Department (WSD).

The affected building was Skylark House in Sha Kok Estate, the Hong Kong Economic Journal reports. The forms were completed by tenants on July 13.

These contain information including flat numbers of the households involved, daytime contact numbers and household size.

About 80 households are involved in the incident.

The WSD was earlier informed by a citizen that he had found the lost forms. The department is trying to reach him again.

Meanwhile, an investigation is under way to see if the incident was the result of negligence or misconduct.

A contractor was responsible for collecting and handling the registration forms.

A flow controller is a device used to measure and control the flow of liquids and gases.
