Registration for the 2018 Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon will start at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, the Hong Kong Economic Journal reports.
The 22nd edition of the annual race will be held on Jan. 21 next year.
Registration can be done on the competition’s official website.
Entries include priority entry and public ballot entry.
The results of the first round of the public ballot entry will be announced on Sept. 21, and the names of those in priority entry will be announced on Aug. 30.
A total of 74,000 runners will be accepted for the competition.
The quota for the full-marathon category has been increased by 1,000 to 18,500. A total of 20,500 contestants will be accepted for the half marathon and 35,000 for the 10-kilometer race.
Those participating in the fourth group of the 10k race can form teams of two to eight runners for registration. The quota for team entry is 1,000.
The Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association is the organizer of this annual running competition.
