New version of Motobot to be unveiled at CES 2018

Yamaha Motor, in collaboration with SRI International, has developed a new version of a motorcycle-riding robot, which will be showcased at the CES 2018, the Hong Kong Economic Journal reports.

The annual global trade show, featuring new products and technologies in the consumer electronics industry, is held by the Consumer Technology Association in Las Vegas.

Motobot Ver.2 is the newest version of a robot which combines the latest technologies in robotics and motorcycle, functioning like a rider capable of maneuvering a stock motorcycle autonomously.

The motobot has a speed in excess of 200 kilometers per hour.

It will be exhibited during the upcoming CES next month, alongside other products developed by Yamaha Motors.
