Hong Kong government has been actively pushing technology development and innovation. That has inspired many young people to start their own businesses and become entrepreneurs.
When one starts his or her first business venture, it’s like falling in love for the first time.
If you have been there before, you would understand how it feels.
You would go to office early in the morning. You work a dozen hours a day having meetings and seeing customers but the energy seems to never run out. You want to go to work even on weekends.
Many veteran entrepreneurs warn against having too much emotional attachment to a business, cautioning that the person would be prone to making the wrong decision. When it comes to young entrepreneurs, if you ask me, I would say that they should simply follow their heart and passion.
While passion is important, I would advise them to participate in more business functions to expand their social circles, since most of them lack connections and experiences at the beginning.
Such networking can prove very useful for developing the business in future.
