Slide The City, a water party event where guests slip and slide down a thousand-foot slide, is coming to Hong Kong this summer.

The water slide will be laid out in an open space at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal in Kowloon, Ming Pao Daily reported on Thursday, citing a preliminary agreement between the government and the company hosting the event.

Details of the event, including schedule, location and ticket prices, will be released soon.

Admission tickets are usually priced at US$10 to US$65, depending on the number of times a guest wants to use the slide, including unlimited use for a whole day.

Only those aged above 5 and who are at least four feet tall will be allowed to join. Live music, food and drinks will be provided.

Lawmaker Yiu Si-wing for the tourism sector suggested that free shuttle buses to the site be provided to avoid inconvenience to the public.
