Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor will participate in a Facebook Live event on Thursday to respond to citizens' questions and elaborate on the goals and priorities that she outlined in her 2019 Policy Address.

According to information posted on Lam's official Facebook page, Lam will respond to people's queries directly in an online Q&A session that will begin at 8 pm tomorrow.

Netizens can leave their questions starting from today, and Lam will offer responses.

People will also have the chance to field questions live to the chief executive during the social media session.

Last week, a government spokesman said there will be no TV forum in the evening and no radio forum the next morning after the 2019 Policy Address, which Lam delivered on Wednesday.

Security considerations, in view of the ongoing anti-government protests in the city, apparently led to the decision to scrap those traditional annual post-policy speech engagements of the chief executive.
