Four-year-old survives fall from 4th floor apartment

A four-year-old Nepali boy survived a fall from the fourth floor of an apartment building in Hong Kong on Sunday, Apple Daily reported.

Witnesses were quoted as saying that they saw the boy fall onto a parked car before rolling over to the ground, in the incident that took place yesterday afternoon in Battery Street, Yau Ma Tei.

Police believe the boy might have crawled through an open window after getting out of his bed after a nap.

His 27-year old mother was questioned by authorities and later arrested for negligence, the report said.

The child has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after paramedics came to the accident scene.

He is now being treated for injuries which are said to be quite serious.
