South Korea has issued a travel advisory on Hong Kong after an outbreak of H3N2 influenza in the city.
The warning comes after Hong Kong health authorities said 61 people died of bird flu last month.
A South Korean Ministry official warned Koreans who plan to visit Hong Kong to maintain hygiene and take extra care to stay healthy.
The ministry will decide whether to take additional measures after monitoring the situation, according to the Chosun Ilbo newspaper.
South Korea has four warning levels for overseas travel, ranging from an advisory to discourage people from visiting high-risk countries to a travel ban.
Hong Kong has a “red alert” travel warning to South Korea over an outbreak of the MERS virus.
And Hong Kong health authorities are playing down the South Korean warning, according to reports.
