Canadian injured in Tsim Sha Tsui robbery

A 60-year-old Canadian was robbed of a bag containing HK$500 in Tsim Sha Tsui in the early hours of Friday, Apple Daily reported.

The man, who lives in Chungking Mansions on Nathan Road, said he was walking past a public toilet at a bus terminus at Chatham Road South and Mody Road, when a robber tried to grab his bag.

The Canadian refused to let it go.

He was injured around his head and ear when the robber, believed to be a South Asian, hit him.

The victim was sent to hospital for treatment.
